As a member of the Select Committee on the Climate Crisis, it is imperative that you assume real climate leadership and prioritize a healthy climate over fossil fuel profits. To show you’re serious about showing true climate leadership, please sign the No Fossil Fuel Money Pledge and reject the industry’s crippling influence on our communities, climate, and democracy.

The No Fossil Fuel Money Pledge reads as follows: “I pledge to not take contributions from the oil, gas, and coal industry and instead prioritize the health of our families, climate, and democracy over fossil fuel industry profits.”

The Democratic members of the newly formed Select Committee on the Climate Crisis were just announced, and so far, only one member has signed the No Fossil Fuel Money Pledge. If the new Congress wants to seriously tackle climate change, these committee members must lead the way and show real climate leadership by signing the No Fossil Fuel Money Pledge today.

We’re in a crucial moment to shine a light on Big Oil’s dirty influence on our political system, and to usher in a new wave of climate leadership. While the fossil fuel industry has already weakened the power of the Select Committee, it is essential that we draw a line in the sand and ensure that its members reject all contributions from Big Oil, Gas, and Coal.

52 current members of Congress have signed the pledge to reject fossil fuel money, including TWENTY Presidential contenders. Nationwide, over 1,500 politicians have signed. The recent Green New Deal resolutions showed that huge public momentum is building for true climate leadership and solutions at the scale the crisis demands. But the fossil fuel industry wants to shut us down and drown out our movements with its dirty money.

Tell committee members to sign the No Fossil Fuel Money Pledge today!
