BREAKING: Shell just dropped ALEC! Now it's time to push ExxonMobil to cut ties with the notorious climate denial group.
ExxonMobil swears it doesn’t support climate denial — but then why is it still in ALEC?
Exxon has pledged to its shareholders and the world that it supports climate science, not climate denial. But recently released documents show that Exxon has spent more than $2.3 million supporting climate denial since 2008 — a large portion of which went directly into ALEC’s pockets. And right after denying support for ALEC to The Guardian, the oil company was revealed as a top sponsor of ALEC’s 2015 annual meeting. In addition, Cynthia Bergman continues to represent Exxon as part of ALEC’s Private Enterprise Advisory Council.
We believe it's time for Exxon to put its money where its mouth is. If you agree, sign the petition to tell ExxonMobil: Cut ties with ALEC now.
